Kyrgyzstan Welcomes Stunning Photo Exhibition Celebrating Kazakhstan

A vibrant cultural exhibition celebrating Kazakhstan’s history and heritage has opened at the National Historical Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The two-week event is organized by Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Culture and Information, the Central State Museum of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz National Historical Museum, and the Kazakh Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The exposition features rare photographs and stories of prominent Kazakh figures, including Shokan Ualikhanov, Akhmet Baiturssynov, Kanysh Satpayev, Amre Kashaubayev, Dina Nurpeissova, and Kulyash Baisseitova. Visitors can also explore exact replicas of historical musical instruments from cultural icons like Abai Kunanbayev and Zhambyl Zhabayev, offering a unique hands-on experience of Kazakhstan’s artistic legacy.

“The exhibition highlights the deep friendship between our nations and allows visitors to connect with Kazakh heritage in an interactive way,” said Nazgul Assylbekova, research fellow at the Central State Museum of Kazakhstan.

The museum director, Jyldyz Bakashova, added that the event coincides with the museum’s “Open Doors Month,” welcoming up to 17,000 guests daily. Attendees can also enjoy Kazakh traditional Orteke performances-a mix of theatre, music, and puppetry recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

This exhibition is a rare opportunity for Kyrgyz audiences to experience the history, culture, and artistic achievements of Kazakhstan firsthand.
