President Tokayev’s New York Visit to Spotlight Kazakhstan on Global Stage

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is set to embark on a working visit to New York from September 21 to 23.

The visit will see President Tokayev take part in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 80), a key diplomatic gathering bringing together heads of state, government officials, and leaders of international organizations from around the world, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

In addition to addressing the General Assembly, President Tokayev is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings with fellow world leaders and top representatives of international institutions. These discussions are expected to focus on pressing global challenges, multilateral cooperation, and Kazakhstan’s role in advancing peace, development, and sustainability.

As part of his working agenda in New York, the president will also meet with leading US business figures and executives from major multinational corporations to discuss investment opportunities and economic collaboration.

The 80th session of the UN General Assembly officially opened on September 9, and will feature high-level debates and policy discussions on global priorities, including climate change, conflict resolution, and sustainable development.
