Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan from May 27 to 29 at the invitation of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
During the visit to Astana, the two leaders are expected to discuss the current state and future prospects of strategic partnership and allied relations between Kazakhstan and Russia, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.
The trip will also coincide with major regional economic events. On May 28, the Eurasian Economic Forum will bring together the heads of state of member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The following day, May 29, Astana will host a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, where leaders are expected to discuss regional integration, trade, and economic cooperation within the Eurasian bloc.
