Travel between Kazakhstan and Russia is getting a major boost as Rossiya Airlines brings back direct flights linking Astana and Saint Petersburg starting June 3.
The relaunched service will run three times a week under the summer schedule, offering travelers a convenient and time-saving connection between the two cities, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Flights departing Astana are scheduled for Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, while return services from Saint Petersburg will operate on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Passengers can expect comfortable travel aboard Airbus A319 aircraft, featuring both economy and business class cabins to suit different travel needs.
The restored route is set to strengthen tourism flows and deepen business ties, as demand for direct connectivity between Astana and one of Russia’s most iconic cultural hubs continues to grow.
