Welcoming Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said the visit highlights Israel’s strong commitment to further strengthening comprehensive cooperation with Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, special attention was given to boosting trade, economic, and scientific-technical cooperation, as well as advancing joint projects in key areas such as artificial intelligence, agriculture, and water management, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Tokayev also welcomed the Kazakhstan-Israel Business Forum held as part of the visit, expressing confidence that its results would help deepen bilateral investment ties.
Sa’ar reaffirmed Israel’s interest in giving new momentum to relations with Kazakhstan and elevating cooperation to a new level. He praised Tokayev’s forward-looking decision for Kazakhstan to join the Abraham Accords, noting its positive role in promoting stability, peace, and international dialogue.
The Israeli foreign minister also commended Kazakhstan’s ongoing political and socio-economic reforms and voiced confidence in their successful implementation. The talks included an exchange of views on key regional and international developments.
Earlier, President Tokayev sent a telegram to Israeli President Isaac Herzog on the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
