President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has sent a telegram to President of Israel Isaac Herzog on the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

In his message, Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan deeply honors the memory of millions of innocent victims of the Holocaust, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The president stressed that the country strongly condemns all forms of ethnic and religious hatred, intolerance, and violence, and consistently supports international efforts aimed at preventing crimes against humanity from ever recurring.

The telegram also recalled that during the Holocaust, Kazakhstan became a refuge for many Jews who were evacuated from war-torn regions. Today, the Jewish community remains an integral part of Kazakh society, contributing to the country’s social, cultural, and civic life.
