U.S. Department of Energy Reduces 2025 Liquid Hydrocarbon Production Forecast for Kazakhstan

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has revised down its forecast for Kazakhstan's liquid hydrocarbon production in 2025, The Caspian Post reports citing Interfax.

According to the EIA's January forecast, Kazakhstan's production of liquid hydrocarbons will stand at 1.89 million barrels per day this year, compared to the December forecast's figure of 1.94 million bpd. Oil production is estimated at 1.91 million bpd in Q1 (1.91 million bpd in the December forecast), 1.88 million bpd in Q2 (1.94 million bpd), 1.86 million bpd in Q3 (1.93 million bpd) and 1.93 million bpd in Q4 (1.99 million bpd).

Liquid hydrocarbon production in Kazakhstan will be 1.98 million bpd in 2026, including 1.98 million bpd in Q1, 1.99 million bpd in Q2, 1.96 million bpd in Q3 and 2 million bpd in Q4, according to EIA estimates.

According to the Department of Energy, Kazakhstan's liquid hydrocarbon production stood at 1.9 million bpd in 2024, including 2 million bpd in Q1, 1.9 million bpd in Q2, 1.9 million bpd in Q3 and 1.81 million bpd in Q4.

Production stood at 1.96 million bpd in 2023.
