269 criminal cases on domestic violence opened in Kyrgyzstan in half a year

269 criminal cases on domestic violence have been opened in Kyrgyzstan in six months, The Caspian Post informs via AkiPress.

These included 79 in Chui region, 44 in Osh region, 40 in Jalal-Abad region, 40 in Bishkek, 26 in Issyk-Kul region, 13 in Osh city, 12 in Batken region, 9 in Naryn region, and 6 in Talas region.

175 cases have been sent to court. Proceedings on 71 cases have been terminated. 23 cases are in progress.

17 criminal cases have been opened on murder, 16 on causing grievous bodily harm, 11 on causing less serious harm to health, 13 on torture, 17 on rape, 5 on indecent acts, 22 on domestic violence, and 163 on other articles.
