A baby llama, known as a guanaco, has been born at Kyrgyzstan’s Karakol Zoo, delighting visitors and animal lovers alike.
Bugu Ene Foundation shared a heartwarming video of the little one bonding with its older relatives, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
“The little guanaco has already joined the herd and never leaves his mother’s side, who protects him fiercely,” the foundation said.
Karakol Zoo, the only zoo in Kyrgyzstan, spans 7.5 hectares in the city of Karakol. Founded in 1987, it faced severe funding challenges after the Soviet Union collapsed, leaving animals struggling to survive. Thanks to a German conservation group and local supporters, the zoo was saved and continues thriving today.
