A tourist train operated by German travel company Lernidee Erlebnisreisen GmbH has arrived in Bishkek, carrying international visitors from Europe and the US seeking to experience Kyrgyzstan’s breathtaking landscapes, cultural heritage, and warm hospitality.
To celebrate the occasion, the railway company organized a special welcoming ceremony that featured an ethnic buffet, traditional Kyrgyz music, and a cultural program showcasing the nation’s artistic and culinary traditions, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
The number of tourist trains arriving in the country continues to grow, with ten trains scheduled in 2025, up from eight in 2024. This increase highlights Kyrgyzstan’s rising profile as a destination for rail-based tourism in Central Asia.
“This growth underscores the increasing appeal of Kyrgyzstan among foreign travelers and the ongoing development of the country’s rail tourism sector,” the company said in a statement.
