The Embassy of Hungary in Kyrgyzstan's Bishkek city invites cinema lovers to the Hungarian Cinema Days, taking place November 3-5 and November 10, 2025.
The event will showcase masterpieces of Hungarian filmmaking, featuring stories inspired by real events and personal histories that reflect Hungary’s rich culture and heritage, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
Screenings will be held at Ishenaly Arabaev Kyrgyz State University and the Isa Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, with free admission for all visitors.
Screening Schedule:
November 3, 5 p.m. (GMT+6) - Diary for My Children (1984) by Márta Mészáros, Grand Prix winner at the Cannes Film Festival, at Ishenaly Arabaev University.
November 4, 5 p.m. - Diary for My Loved Ones (1987) by Márta Mészáros, Silver Medal winner at the 37th Berlin Film Festival.
November 5, 5 p.m. - Semmelweis (2023), a historical drama directed by Lajos Koltai.
November 10, 3 p.m. - Semmelweis at Isa Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy.
