Kyrgyz Athlete Wins Seat on United World Wrestling Athletes’ Panel

Aisuluu Tynybekova, the celebrated Kyrgyz wrestler, has been elected to serve on the United World Wrestling (UWW) Athletes’ Commission for the 2025-2029 term.

She shared the news on her social media following the election held in Zagreb, Croatia, during the World Wrestling Championships, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

The Athletes’ Commission consists of nine elite wrestlers from around the globe, including prominent figures such as Arsen Julfalakyan from Argentina and Yui Susaki from Japan. This diverse group represents different continents and wrestling styles.

In her new role, Tynybekova will advocate for the interests of wrestlers at the highest levels of the UWW, including the Bureau and Congress. She will help influence critical decisions within the international wrestling federation, ensuring that athletes’ voices are heard.

Founded in 2013, the UWW Athletes’ Commission serves as an essential bridge between wrestlers and federation officials, safeguarding the rights and addressing the concerns of athletes across all wrestling disciplines.
