Kyrgyz Film Included in Main Competition Program of Shanghai International Film Festival

The new full-length film "Kara Kyzyl Sary" (Black Red Yellow) by director Aktan Arym Kubat is included in the main competition program of the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF), which will be held in Shanghai, China, from June 13 to June 22, The Caspian Post informs via AkiPress.

The film "Kara Kyzyl Sary" was created by the national film studio "Kyrgyzfilm" based on the short stories of the writer Topchugul Shaidullaeva. Filming took place in Batken region.

The Shanghai Film Festival is the largest in Asia and the only competitive film festival in China accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF). This year the festival will include more than 2,000 films from more than 100 countries, as well as about half a million viewers.
