Daiyrbek Orunbekov, head of the information policy department of the Kyrgyz presidential administration, has said that construction began in Mecca on a free accommodation facility for Kyrgyz citizens, where pilgrims and students will be able to stay.
Orunbekov noted that the project is being implemented with the support of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
The new building will provide free lodging for Kyrgyz nationals visiting Saudi Arabia, including for Hajj pilgrimage and educational purposes.
Details on the completion date, funding, and official opening have not yet been disclosed. No official comments have been made regarding the management of the facility or the accommodation procedures.
