President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has called for the reinstatement of the death penalty for the most serious crimes.
In a message posted on social media, Press Secretary of the Kyrgyz president Askat Alagozov revealed that Japarov has tasked Murat Ukushev, head of the Legal Support Department of the Presidential Administration, with preparing legislative amendments to introduce stricter punishments for offenses against children, girls, and women, The Caspian Post informs via Russian media.
“The president has directed the drafting of laws that would impose the severest penalties, including the death penalty, specifically for the rape of children and for cases involving rape followed by the murder of women,” Alagozov said.
