Kyrgyz President Welcomes New German Ambassador to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has officially welcomed Monika Lenhard, the newly appointed German ambassador, with whom he discussed the current status and future opportunities for bilateral cooperation.

During the session, President Japarov formally accepted Lenhard’s credentials and congratulated her on beginning her diplomatic mission in Kyrgyzstan, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

President Japarov underscored the warm and friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and Germany, emphasizing the importance of expanding collaboration across all sectors of mutual interest. He also recalled his constructive political dialogue with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, highlighting their productive meetings in Bishkek in 2023 and Berlin in 2024, and conveyed his best wishes to his German counterpart.

Japarov noted the substantial growth in trade and economic ties between the two nations over recent years, expressing readiness to further strengthen cooperation, especially in the production and export of organic agricultural products.

In response, Lenhard thanked the Kyrgyz president for the warm welcome and pledged her commitment to deepening the Kyrgyz-German partnership. “I will make every effort to promote mutually beneficial relations and support the successful implementation of joint projects,” she affirmed.
