Kyrgyz Sambo Athlete Wins Bronze at 2025 World Games in China

Kyrgyzstan’s sambo athlete Uson Kyzy Akak has captured a bronze medal in the under-54 kg category at the ongoing 2025 World Games in China.

Uson advanced past the quarterfinals by defeating Egyptian athlete Sama Ahmed but fell in the semifinals to Venezuela’s athlete Luisaigna Campos, The Caspian Post informs per Kyrgyz media.

She secured the bronze by overcoming Kazakhstan’s athlete Kuralay Kabraikyzy.

This follows a strong start for the Kyrgyz sambo team, which won two additional bronze medals on the first day of competition.
