Kyrgyzstan and China Talk Boosting Cargo Transport and Streamlining Logistics

Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Transport and Communications, Absattar Syrgabaev, held a bilateral meeting with Liu Wei, the Minister of Transport of the People’s Republic of China.

The Transport Ministry reported that Absattar Syrgabaev noted that the volume of cargo transportation between Kyrgyzstan and China is growing from year to year, and proposed exchanging additional permits, The Caspian Post reports citing Kabar.

The meeting also openly discussed the progress of the development of the bilateral Agreement on International Automobile Traffic and the difficulties that arise when transporting large volumes of cargo.

Liu Wei expressed understanding of the issues raised by the Kyrgyz side and stated that he would take appropriate steps to resolve them. The meeting was held within the framework of the II meeting of transport ministers in the "Central Asia-China" format.
