Kyrgyzstan Breaks Ground on Ambitious “Asman City” Mega-Project

A major new chapter in Kyrgyzstan’s urban development has begun in the Issyk-Kul region with the official launch of Asman City, one of the largest construction projects in the country’s history.

Spanning over 4,000 hectares, the modern city is designed to house 500,000-700,000 residents and feature state-of-the-art infrastructure, residential zones, and recreational spaces, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

The phased project, managed by private construction firms, invites companies to contribute innovative ideas, with some plots already allocated to Elite House and a Chinese partner. Officials emphasized that Asman will incorporate green technologies, following revisions aimed at creating an environmentally friendly urban hub.

Once completed, Asman City promises to be a symbol of Kyrgyzstan’s modernization and a model for sustainable urban living in Central Asia.
