President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has extended heartfelt congratulations to the nation’s construction and industrial sector workers on their professional holiday, emphasizing their crucial role in advancing national reforms and driving Turkmenistan’s remarkable achievements.
In his address, the head of state noted that, in line with the country’s economic diversification strategy, Turkmenistan is steadily establishing itself among the industrially developed nations of the world, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.
The president underlined that the construction and industrial complex has become one of the key pillars of the national economy. Its specialists make a significant contribution to the implementation of state programs and large-scale regional and international projects.
As a testament to Turkmenistan’s growing economic strength, the president pointed to major urban development projects underway in Ashgabat and the country’s provinces, including the construction of phases one and two of Arkadag City - the first “smart city” in Central Asia.
He highlighted the harmonious blend of national architectural traditions and modern urban design visible across all new developments. Among the key achievements are the commissioning of the second phases of the Lebap and Baherden cement plants in 2024, as well as the opening of a ceramics production facility in Ahal and a glass manufacturing workshop in Ashgabat.
President Berdimuhamedov also emphasized the importance of strategic industries shaping Turkmenistan’s new industrial and innovative identity. He noted that the country has become a major energy power both regionally and globally. Current initiatives include the integration of the national power grid and the development of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission line.
Significant foreign investment in the chemical industry has transformed it into one of the fastest-growing sectors. Large-scale projects are underway, including the construction of a new carbamide plant, renovation of the polymer plant in Kiyanly, and foundation of a mineral fertilizer complex in Turkmenabat.
The president also stressed the importance of adopting advanced technologies that meet international standards, citing the 600-kilometer Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway as a prime example of modern infrastructure development.
In conclusion, President Berdimuhamedov once again extended his warm congratulations to all workers in the construction and industrial sectors, wishing them continued success and prosperity in their dedicated service to Turkmenistan’s progress.
