Kyrgyzstan is considering adopting Azerbaijan’s agricultural insurance model to support its farmers.
The topic was discussed during a meeting in Baku between Kyrgyz Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev and Azerbaijan’s Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov, The Caspian Post reports via the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers.
The talks also covered virus-free seedling production, in vitro cloning technologies, intensive horticulture methods, organic farming, and the creation of a knowledge-sharing platform.
Officials discussed phytosanitary safety measures, including quarantine product treatment and lab testing, as well as veterinary diagnostics and the export and import of breeding animals and genetic material.
The ministers agreed to establish a joint working group to ensure a systematic approach to implementing agreements and coordinating bilateral agricultural cooperation.
