Kyrgyz Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev received Chinese Ambassador Liu Jiangping.
The Energy Ministry said that the meeting from the Chinese side was also attended by Counselor Li Baojie, Counselor for Trade and Economic Affairs Yu Zhigang, Third Secretary of the Embassy Zhang Feng and Assistant to the Ambassador Wang Zenan, The Caspian Post reports, citing Krygyz media.
Ibraev congratulated Jiangping on the official start of her diplomatic mission as the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China. He noted that the Ministry deeply appreciates the strategic partnership with China. Today, thanks to the support of the heads of state, Kyrgyz-Chinese relations are developing dynamically and have reached a historical level of interaction and partnership.
Traditional friendly and good-neighborly relations between the two countries, based on mutual trust, contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership between our countries, primarily in the energy sector. A very important area of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations is cooperation in the field of green energy and the coal industry.
Within the framework of project cooperation in the field of green energy and the coal industry, Kyrgyzstan cooperates with 22 partners from China. These projects have high potential for further development of cooperation in the field of energy and infrastructure and are key to the long-term economic interests of both parties.
Ambassador Liu Jiangping emphasized the importance of the meeting with the minister and expressed readiness to further deepen cooperation. The ambassador also noted that she will monitor the activities of Chinese companies operating in Kyrgyzstan and will facilitate the accelerated implementation of signed agreements and investment projects.
Following the meeting, the parties noted with satisfaction that the past year was a period of active interaction, laying a solid foundation for the further comprehensive development of bilateral relations.
