Kyrgyzstan Introduces New Child Benefit Program

Sadyr Japarov, President of Kyrgyzstan, has signed a decree introducing a new state monthly allowance for children under the age of three.

The new benefit, called “Bala Yrysy,” will begin payments on July 1, 2026. Each eligible child will receive 1,200 soms (around 23 manats) per month, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Officials said the allowance will be granted to every child under three years old, regardless of the family’s income level, making it a universal child support program.

According to the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, there are around 445,000 children under the age of three currently living in Kyrgyzstan.
