Kyrgyzstan President Highlights New Regional Transport Projects at Central Asia Summit

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has attended the 7th Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of State in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where he outlined plans to transform regional transport infrastructure.

President Japarov announced the development of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, calling it a game-changer that will connect the region to major Asian and European markets, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

He also highlighted the Zangezur Corridor as a strategic extension of this key transport artery.

To boost efficiency, the president proposed a “Digital Transit Corridor”, a unified electronic platform for customs data exchange and one-stop-shop permit issuance, aimed at streamlining cross-border logistics across Central Asia.
