Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador Captains Multinational Team to UN Cup Tennis Glory

Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador to Switzerland, Omar Sultanov, has led a historic multinational team to victory at the 15th annual United Nations Cup Tennis Tournament in Geneva.

The 15th annual United Nations Cup Tennis Tournament brought together participants from 21 UN system organizations, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

This year’s tournament made history as the championship was won for the first time by a multinational team of diplomats.

The victorious squad featured representatives from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Portugal, Russia, Uzbekistan, South Africa, and Japan.

Organized annually, the UN Cup serves as a platform to strengthen friendly relations and encourage the spirit of sportsmanship among diplomats and staff members of international organizations through spirited athletic competition.
