Kyrgyzstan exported 4.2 tons of gold valued at $446.6 million between January and August 2025.
In August, gold exports totaled 415.9 kilograms. The United Kingdom received 229 kilograms worth $24.7 million, while Switzerland imported 186.8 kilograms valued at $20.5 million, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
During the first eight months of 2025, Kyrgyzstan’s gold exports were distributed among several countries:
Switzerland: 2.5 tons, valued at $267.5 million
United Kingdom: 1.6 tons, valued at $167.2 million
Malaysia: 100 kilograms, valued at $10.7 million
Türkiye: 10.6 kilograms, valued at $1 million
Despite these robust numbers, Kyrgyzstan’s gold exports declined by 4.4 tons compared to the same period last year, signaling a significant year-on-year decrease.
