Kyrgyzstan Sends Lifesaving Aid to Ethnic Kyrgyz in Afghanistan

Kyrgyzstan has provided aid to local residents of Badakhshan Province and ethnic Kyrgyz in Afghanistan, including medical and veterinary supplies.

As part of the aid mission, Deputy Minister Darmankul uulu Bakyt met with the Deputy Governor of Badakhshan to evaluate the living conditions of ethnic Kyrgyz communities and discuss plans to address pressing socioeconomic and infrastructure challenges in the region, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

A team of Kyrgyz healthcare professionals-including cardiologists, dentists, and an obstetrician-gynecologist-provided medical care to 765 individuals, including 187 women and 207 children. The mission also featured health education sessions on disease prevention, early diagnosis, and the correct usage of veterinary medicines.

Veterinary specialists conducted on-site animal health assessments and training programs on vaccination and disease management. In total, they examined and treated 10 camels, 40 horses, 367 yaks, and 840 sheep and goats, aiming to boost livestock productivity and food security in the mountainous area.
