Kyrgyzstan’s Talas region is set to launch a new local mineral water brand, “Arashan”, with production expected to begin this fall in the village of Besh-Tash.
The project involves the construction of a mini-plant for bottling mineral drinking water, supported by funding from the Talas District Development Fund, The Caspian Post reports per Kyrgyz media.
A total of 10.1 million soms ($799,940) has been allocated, including 7 million soms ($554,410) designated for the purchase of modern production equipment. A tender is currently underway to secure the necessary machinery.
Once operational, the facility is expected to supply high-quality mineral water to the local population and support regional socio-economic development by creating new jobs and encouraging local enterprise.
The “Arashan” brand will become one of the few locally produced mineral waters in the region, aiming to meet growing demand while promoting sustainable development in rural areas.
