Kyrgyzstan and Belarus have signed 12 new cooperation agreements covering trade, education, culture, social policy, and business, marking a major step in efforts to strengthen bilateral ties.
The deals were finalized during talks in Bishkek between Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev and Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, who visited the Kyrgyz capital to expand cooperation across key sectors, The Caspian Post reports via Anadolu Agency.
The two sides also attended the Kyrgyzstan-Belarus International Economic Cooperation Forum, which brought together around 150 business representatives from both countries.
At the forum, Turchin announced an ambitious target of increasing bilateral trade turnover to $500 million by 2030 through joint industrial projects, investment initiatives, and job creation programs.
Kasymaliev highlighted the strong potential for deeper cooperation by combining Kyrgyzstan’s advantages in logistics, agriculture, and tourism with Belarus’ expertise in manufacturing, technology, and agribusiness.
