A group of Azerbaijani journalists has arrived in Bishkek as part of President Ilham Aliyev’s working visit to Kyrgyzstan.
The visit coincides with several major international events bringing together political leaders, athletes and cultural representatives.
The 6th World Nomad Games will officially open in Bishkek on August 31.
Azerbaijan will participate in the event across sports, cultural and scientific programs, showcasing the country’s traditions and expertise alongside participants from other nations.
On September 1, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov will chair a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), followed by a high-level meeting in the SCO Plus format.
The leaders are expected to discuss key international and regional developments, the SCO’s future priorities and ways to expand cooperation.
The agenda will cover political, trade and economic, transport and logistics, digital, environmental, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The summit is expected to conclude with the signing of the Bishkek Declaration marking the SCO’s 25th anniversary, alongside other documents and decisions aimed at strengthening multilateral cooperation and improving the organization’s work.
