Kyrgyzstan to Host Charity Fair Boosting Senior Citizens’ Health and Well-Being Soon

The Kyrgyz Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration has announced that Bishkek will hold a charity fair on October 1 dedicated to improving the quality of life and health of senior citizens.

The event will bring together approximately 40 self-help groups, community leaders, and representatives of the elderly from across the country. Participants will showcase a variety of wool and felt products, as well as handmade souvenirs, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Visitors can look forward to an engaging program that includes raffles, masterclasses, a dance flash mob, and a concert featuring performances by local artists and creative groups from Bishkek.

The fair is organized by the international gerontological network AgeNet International in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, with support from the Bishkek City Hall. It aims to foster community spirit and raise awareness about the needs of senior citizens.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. (GMT+6) on Erkindik Boulevard, at the intersection with Pushkin Street, near the Kurmanjan Datka monument. Admission is free to all.
