Kyrgyzstan Welcomes New EU Delegation Chief

A new Head of the EU Delegation to Kyrgyzstan, Rémi Duflot, has officially assumed his role after Kyrgyz Deputy Foreign Minister Meder Abakirov received his credentials in a formal ceremony.

The meeting served as an opportunity to assess the current state of Kyrgyzstan-EU relations and discuss future opportunities for cooperation, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

Both officials emphasized plans to implement various mutually beneficial programs and projects aimed at strengthening ties between the two partners.

Abakirov underscored the importance of the EU partnership and reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s dedication to advancing collaboration grounded in mutual trust and respect.

In turn, Rémi Duflot expressed confidence in the continued growth of bilateral relations and pledged strong support from the EU to help achieve shared objectives.
