A TezJet passenger aircraft made a hard landing at the airport in Kyrgyzstan's capital Bishkek after completing a domestic flight from Manas, prompting an emergency response and the temporary suspension of airport operations.
The aircraft landed heavily but there were no immediate reports of injuries among passengers or crew, The Caspian Post reports via TASS.
Witnesses said the plane tipped onto its side shortly after touching down. Passengers were evacuated using an inflatable emergency slide as firefighters and ambulance crews rushed to the scene within minutes.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, while emergency services continue to assess the aircraft and runway conditions.
The hard landing forced Bishkek Airport to temporarily halt both arriving and departing flights, causing disruptions to air traffic.
