Russia Sends New Batch of Food Aid to Southern Kyrgyzstan

Russia has delivered another humanitarian shipment to southern Kyrgyzstan.

This latest batch includes 121.44 tons of sunflower oil, which arrived in Osh and will be distributed by the UN World Food Programme (WFP) together with local authorities to families in need, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

The Embassy noted that the Russian Federation remains the largest donor to the WFP in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Over the past 15 years, Russia and the WFP have worked hand-in-hand to support Kyrgyz citizens through emergency relief, recovery initiatives, and social protection programs - including the successful national school meals program.
