Tragic Crash in Kyrgyzstan Claims Lives of Local Officials

A deadly road accident in Kyrgyzstan has claimed the lives of four local officials after a car plunged off a road near Kara-Suu.

The crash occurred on a route leading to the village of Kyzyl-Suu, where a Hyundai Accent driven by a 66-year-old man veered off the road and fell into a canal, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

All four officials died at the scene, including the driver and three passengers.

Officials later confirmed that the victims included the heads of three villages - Asamidin Uraimov (Zhany-Aryk), Abdulaziz Mamataliyev (Tash-Aryk), and Abdisatar Aliyev (Ak-Terek) - as well as municipal employee Bakhtiyar Asanov.

The group was reportedly traveling to attend a funeral at the time of the accident.

Following the investigation, a decision will be made regarding financial compensation for the families of the victims.
