Azerbaijan, China Commend Steadily Developing Bilateral Ties

Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov on Monday held a meeting with Vice-chairwoman of the National Committee of the People's Political Consultative Conference of the People's Republic of China (CPPCC) Su Hui.

During the meeting, the parties emphasized that thanks to the joint efforts of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, relations between the two countries have been steadily developing on the principles of friendship, mutual respect and strategic partnership, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan.

They noted that with the signing of the “Joint Statement on the Establishment of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People’s Republic of China” in April this year, Azerbaijan-China relations have entered a new stage.

The sides underscored the importance of President Ilham Aliyev's working visit to the People's Republic of China in late August-early September in further enhancing ties between the two countries and expanding multilateral cooperation.

The meeting also explored prospects for the development of Azerbaijan-China relations across various areas of mutual interest.
