Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed support for the establishment of lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Speaking at the UN General Assembly, Erdogan said Türkiye’s position on the South Caucasus was clear, The Caspian Post reports, citing AZERTAC.

“We hope lasting peace will be established between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We appreciate and support the determination for a solution demonstrated by Mr. Aliyev and Mr. Pashinyan,” the Turkish president said.

Erdogan also reaffirmed Türkiye’s determination to continue the normalization process with Armenia.
