US President Donald Trump has pointed to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s positive assessment of Washington’s role in the breakthrough between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Addressing the 81st UN General Assembly in New York, Trump

He attributed those settlements to a combination of personal relationships with foreign leaders, trade, tariffs and other country-specific factors.

“The President of Azerbaijan said: "President Trump, in six months, did a miracle." It was an absolute miracle that nobody thought could be done,” the US president emphasized.

Trump further noted that nearly all countries involved in the conflicts he had helped resolve had sent him letters expressing their gratitude.
