Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Moscow to hold discussions with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and other senior officials.
Upon his arrival at Vnukovo International Airport on Tuesday, Araghchi was welcomed by Iran’s Ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, and representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry, The Caspian Post reports, citing Iranian media.
During his visit, Araghchi is scheduled to meet with Russian scholars and thinkers, as well as officials from the State Duma and the Federation Council. He will also meet managers of institutions and diplomats at the Iranian Embassy.
On Wednesday, he is set to deliver a speech at MGIMO University (Moscow State Institute of International Relations) and hold official talks with Lavrov. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the discussions will cover international issues, including Iran’s nuclear program, and regional matters.
