Iran, Turkmenistan Eye Closer Cooperation in Energy and Transport

In a telephone conversation on Wednesday, the foreign ministers of Iran and Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of expanding bilateral ties, particularly in the fields of energy and transportation.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Turkmen counterpart Rashid Meredov reviewed the current state of cooperation and explored ways to strengthen relations across multiple sectors, The Caspian Post reports, citing Iranian media.

Both ministers highlighted their shared resolve to expand all-out cooperation in the political, economic, scientific, and cultural domains. They also emphasized the need to deepen consultations and collaboration, particularly in the energy and transportation areas, as key pillars of bilateral engagement.

At the end of the conversation, the two sides agreed to continue regular consultations and maintain close coordination to advance mutual interests.
