An exchange of signals confirming readiness to hold a trilateral meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Donald Trump, and Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the APEC summit in Shenzhen is underway, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, The Caspian Post reports, citing Vesti.
"There is a certain exchange of signals confirming readiness to hold such a meeting. There is also an exchange of views through diplomatic channels on what could be on the agenda," Peskov said when asked about preparations for a trilateral meeting between Putin, Trump, and Xi on the sidelines of the APEC summit.
The Kremlin spokesman also clarified that China is the host country and, therefore, Beijing plays the leading role in organising the meeting.
