Russia has never threatened anyone and does not threaten anyone now, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at an awards ceremony in the Kremlin.
"Especially now, it is very important that people in many countries, including those beyond the countries you represent, recognize at the political level that, first of all, Russia has never threatened anyone and does not threaten anyone now," the Russian leader said. "Secondly, we seek cooperation," Putin stated, The Caspian Post reports, citing TASS.
He noted that it is important for foreign countries to recognize Russia’s willingness to cooperate, adjust their attitudes, and stop seeking confrontation.
"Especially now, it is very important that people in many countries, including those beyond the countries you represent, recognize at the political level that, first, Russia has never threatened anyone and does not threaten anyone now, and second, that we seek cooperation. And those who are not yet ready will, following your example and those of our other friends in many countries around the world, nevertheless draw the right conclusions and adjust their attitudes. They will stop seeking confrontation and instead seek cooperation with Russia," the head of state noted.
Cooperation between countries in humanitarian fields and business creates favorable conditions for developing relations in politics and security, Putin stressed.
