Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has stated that the deployment of Tomahawk cruise missiles in Ukraine would not change the current military situation on the battlefield.
Speaking to journalists at the 22nd annual meeting of the international Valdai Discussion Club, Lavrov emphasized, “The Kremlin has already made it clear that even if Tomahawk missiles end up in Ukraine, it will not change the military situation,” The Caspian Post informs via Russian media.
The Tomahawk is a long-range, all-weather, subsonic cruise missile developed by the US. Primarily used by the US Navy, it can be launched from ships and submarines and is designed to deliver precision strikes against high-value land targets. With a range of over 1,600 kilometers (1,000 miles), Tomahawks can fly at low altitudes to evade radar detection and are guided by advanced GPS and inertial navigation systems.
