Armenia, Turkmenistan Discuss Cooperation Expansion

During his working visit to Ashgabat, Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan held a private meeting with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

According to the Presidential Office, President Khachaturyan congratulated his counterpart on the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality, wishing the country continued development and progress, as well as prosperity and peace for the Turkmen people, The Caspian Post reports, citing Armenian media.

President Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude for accepting the invitation and participating in an important event for Turkmenistan, noting that high-level visits serve as a significant impetus for strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the next steps in promoting cooperation between Armenia and Turkmenistan in the political, economic, educational, cultural and other spheres. The importance of joint initiatives aimed at preserving historical and cultural heritage was also noted.

The parties emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in the energy and communications sectors, as well as developing infrastructure. They reaffirmed their readiness to deepen bilateral cooperation and continue effective collaboration on international platforms.
