On December 23, Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Religious Affairs, held a meeting with a Turkish delegation led by Safi Arpaguş, Head of the Turkish Directorate of Religious Affairs.
The meeting hailed the successful development of the relations of friendship, brotherhood, and strategic alliance between the two countries in all areas, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.
The officials stressed the importance of sharing expertise in the context of state and religious relations, as well as addressing the boosting of bilateral collaboration.
Mammadov described the upcoming 2nd Forum of Azerbaijani Religious Figures in Baku as a crucial platform for strengthening religious solidarity, advancing a healthy religious mindset, and developing state-religion relations based on constitutional principles.
Safi Arpaguş expressed his confidence that the cooperation between the relevant institutions of both countries would further develop in the future.
The meeting also addressed other issues of mutual concern.
