A tourist boat carrying passengers on an evening Bosphorus cruise collided with a small vessel in Türkiye's Istanbul city before crashing into a historic villa on the shoreline.

The incident was reported by IHA, citing the building’s owner, Derin Mermercı.

Security cameras captured the accident. The footage reportedly shows the passenger boat first colliding with a smaller vessel, then smashing through the pier in front of the villa before hitting the building.

Mermercı said children were inside the house when the incident occurred.

“They destroyed the villa’s pier. I will file a lawsuit against these people. There were children in the house, and they were frightened,” she said.

The boat was carrying tourists who had set out for an evening cruise along the Bosphorus. Mermercı said she managed to speak with the vessel’s captain after the incident.
