An explosion occurred at a steel plant in the Torbalı district of Türkiye’s Izmir province, injuring seven workers.

The incident took place in the Subaşı neighborhood. The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined, TRT Haber reports.

Firefighters, emergency medical teams and gendarmerie units were dispatched to the scene following reports of the blast.

Seven workers were injured in the incident, with three reportedly in critical condition.

All of the injured workers were transported by ambulance to different hospitals for treatment.
