A deadly explosion has rocked a furniture manufacturing facility in the Turkish city of Erzurum, leaving two people dead.
The blast occurred at a furniture enterprise located in the Yakutiye district’s industrial zone. Numerous police units, firefighters, and ambulance teams were immediately dispatched to the scene, The Caspian Post reports via Turkish media.
Rescue teams managed to evacuate eight people from the building, all of whom were taken to nearby hospitals. Despite medical assistance, two of the injured later died from their wounds.
The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined. Authorities have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances behind the incident.
