Russia’s Triumph vessel caught fire off the coast of Kamchatka, forcing its 29-member crew to abandon the ship and board life rafts, the Far Eastern Expeditionary Rescue Operations Dispatch Service said.

The agency informed that the passing Perseus vessel rescued 25 crew members from the rafts and is now heading to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The survivors are expected to be brought ashore in the morning, The Caspian Post reports, citing TASS.

The captain and three other crew members remain missing, according to the agency.

A rescue vessel, the Suvorovets, is scheduled to depart Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and head toward the burning Triumph. However, an agency source said the vessel is not expected to leave for about another 10 hours.
