Following talks between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan, ten memoranda of understanding are expected to be signed, The Caspian Post reports citing foreign media.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has welcomed Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who arrived in Yerevan on his first official visit.
The official welcoming ceremony took place at the Prime Minister’s residence.
It is noted that an expanded meeting with the participation of representatives of both countries will then take place, after which the Armenian Prime Minister and the Iranian President will make statements to the press.
Pezeshkian arrived in Armenia yesterday. Before his departure, he stated that the key topic of his visit to Yerevan would be the discussion of the “North-South” transport corridor. He also noted that the “East-West” route could become an important platform for trade.
The President of Iran emphasized that the development of cooperation with Armenia in the fields of energy, transport, investment, healthcare, and tourism would also be considered.
